Dry Skin And Wrinkles

Does Dry Skin Causes Wrinkles?

The symptoms of dry skin and wrinkles can come from a variety of sources.  Aside from the body’s natural aging process, there are many other external factors in our day-to-day lives that damage our skin, often without our knowledge. The most predominant factor is excessive sun exposure.  When you get sunburn or produce a tan, your skin loses hydration and is therefore more likely to become dry. The habit of regular sun exposure and lack of sun protection speeds up the aging process, or at least its appearance, and wrinkles will produce more prematurely than perhaps you anticipated. Smoking is also a major contributor to wrinkles and dry skin; over time it damages your skin cells and your skin loses its ability to protect itself from external factors, becoming weak and frayed. Other contributors to wrinkles and dry skin include a poor diet, lack of exercise and lack of sleep.

Anti-Wrinkle Creams for Dry Skin

A number of over-the-counter products are available to fight aging and its associated symptoms. Daily application of moisturizer remains to be an effective product for general use, which adds a protective layer over the skin, compensating for the lack of natural oils produced by the body. An array of more specialized creams entirely devoted to fighting wrinkles is also available on the market. The number of products available can appear daunting at first; however looking for particular ingredients while shopping will make the selection process much easier. Creams may contain a combination of the following ingredients, including Retinol, Tretinoin (an exfoliate agent), Argireline (soothes tension in the facial region), Matrixyl, Copper Peptides and Alpha Hydroxy Acid (most creams should have this, as it’s a vital ingredient in helping to reduce wrinkles). Keeping an eye out for any of these will greatly improve your chances of finding a product that will provide satisfactory results.
